Been quite a long time since i updated my blog.Well, now i try to remember as much as i could.
First, a brief update on the cheong session held [date][to be updated]. It was more of a TX outing though. The participants involved.... Me, Shiou Wei and husband, Renyi, Franky, Andy, Roy, Victor, Chris, John. Other non-current ESPN include Corrine, Adam, Eileen and Chris friend, Doris. To me, it was quite enjoyable, mainly because everyone really let go of everything and just play along. Can't remember much, so just look at the pictures ba.
HK TripI went to HK on 16-19th August, with Joey and her colleagues... it's was quite a tight schedule with me only submitting the application for the Disney tickets upon coming back to office after my reservist and 5 days leave.
16th August - left the house around 630am, waited for a nice cab (those newer kind of taxis) but it never arrived. Thus, set off with a TIBS cab. Sigh, not that comfortable but kinda late in picking Joey up but in the end, we reached the airport very early. The rest haven't even arrived... When all 5 had arrived, along with Joey's colleague who appeared just to send us off, we went for breakfast at the airport's canteen before getting onto the Cathay Pacific's aircraft. The food and seats were not that nice. But the movies shown were not bad, Premonition, Shrek 3, Liondance etc. Switched around a lot, cause wanted to see the first 2 movies on my DVD player instead. Arrived in HK around 1+pm, was raining when we arrived. Dampened a bit of my mood but luckily, it cleared up after a while. We stayed in Metropark Mongkok, Near Prince Edward MRT station. Our hotel was quite near the 2 more-famous streets. Goldfish Street and Woman's Street. We had our dinner at a little eatery near the hotel. Sadly to say, it does not taste very good. Went to the Woman's Street for browsing and shopping time. As usual, i did not buy much from the street as i wanted to check out the prices first before spending. I did found quite many things that i liked. Namely 3/4 pants, jeans, shirts, jackets, canvas shoes, towels and some teeny weeny stuff. More about them at the latter stages. Joey tried to bargain for black-tiled mahjong set. From around 600HKD, they reduced to 300HKD and then to 250HKD. Joey was very interested but in the end, her mother did not wanted the mahjong set. Thus, we walked off, little to know that the salesperson tried their best to get her to buy, with actions like reducin to 200HKD and pulling her hand, but we don't really like the attitude they had persuaded her to buy. We got lost for a while since we really know the direction that we are facing. Managed to get our way back after almost an hour of walking. Me and Joey almost collapsed upon reaching our room. Yes, me and Joey shared a room. AND no, we did not have any hanky panky between us. We fell asleep quite fast.
17th AugustCindy and her other colleagues wnted to go to Macau since we all opt out for the one day tour of HK. Me and Joey decided that they were nothing much to see there, thus, we went for our own little tour. First, we went to Tsim Sha Hsui, since we heard about the name so much in dramas. Only when we reached there that we know it's actually quite a high class place. A lot of branded stuff, that me and her find it quite impossible to buy. Joey actually found a bag she quite liked, think the brand was Fendi. It cost around 3000SGD! After 2 hours there, we decided we had enough and decided to go to somewhere more affordable, Tong Luo Wan. I had read in a book that there were quite a lot of trendy stuff more suitable for the young and more affordable as well. We wanted to go to a place called Island soemthing. Can't really remember the full name, but know we spent another long period of time trying to find out where is it. However, we managed to rest our aching legs at a dessert store before that. Managed to get a FOSSIL watch from a shop over there.
18th AugustWent to Disneyland! Took the MRT there, was quite an experience, at least in terms of the train-ride, although only for one stop, it looked very different. A very Disney concept train. Regretfully, we only stayed there for 3+ hours due to some circumstance. Never take picture with my Fav Donald Duck too. hai. Evening time, we went to Temple Street to walk around. It's more or less similar with Woman's Street, but one thing quite different is they have sex novelties shop@!
19th AugustTime to go back to Singapore, our flight is at 8pm, thus, we went to the Woman Street for one last spree. Spent most of my money on this day. Went to the Esprit factory outlet located near there too. Yup, it was much cheaper.! In total for these 4 days, i had bought more than 7 shirts, 2 pair of jeans, 1 3/4 pants, a cap, some accessories, a watch, a canvas shoes +++. But worth the money spent though. Hurhur, one regret was not taking pictures. Only taken less than 20pics for the 4 days. Haiz....
KTV .2 sessions of KTV. On sat (1stSep), went KTV with Daniel, Mun Fai, Faa, Jasmine and her friends. Sang from 10-about 3am. Argh@ My favourite impersonation of Jay's "Ting Mama De Hua" flopped miserably, think quite sometime i hadn't sang that. :{ But in all, was quite enjoyable.
Monday, went KTV with Liyun, Jieqi, and Rizuan (Akira). I was meeting them for the first time. Surprisingly, i did not have much shyness with the 3 of them. Maybe cause it's a small group, or maybe i did become more vocal and open. Was quite off form that day. Sigh.
Makan SessionMakan session at Kuishinbo on 30th Aug. Japanese style buffet. Thought i wun have much things to feast on over there. Turned out i was quite wrong. Quite a sumptous meal. Especially the dessert! Yum yum! That was also a send-off for Tau Kay Kevin Yong. His last week with ESPN before he ventured into his own business. Went for a beer after that at Balaclava. Quite ex! $19 bucks! wooh!
First MonthMy nephew's first month celebration! Held a buffet dinner at Sembawang. Saw quite a few of my relatives. Enjoyed the buffet too, Thai style TOM YAM! Only thing that came bad from the day. My tank enjoyed the company of some drainage guppies, courtesy of one of my brother's friend daughter, who had caught them at a fishing area for kids. Went out to meet Fae to discuss about us around 7pm, received a call from my brother around 10pm, saying a lot of my fishes were dying/dead. Rushed home after that but only managed to get home around midnight. 75% of my fishes were dead! The next day's tally of my tank. 0 Rummy Nose, 0 Neon Tetra, 0 Lousy Guppies, 5 High Class Guppies, 10 Endlers, 0 Flying Foxes, 8 Corys but surprisingly, all but one of my shrimps survived. The previous balance as far as i can rem. 24;10;17;11;25;8;8. Sigh... Maybe a sign for me to start a totally shrimp tank?
